FAQs
Straight answers to the questions everyone asks
What makes Pushingink different from other agencies?
Most agencies sell access to a team. Then they quietly place a few people between you and the work.
Not us.
Pushingink is a two-person digital marketing and creative agency based in Lancaster, PA. When you work with us, you work directly with the people thinking, designing, writing, building, and problem-solving. No account managers translating your feedback. No project coordinators slowing down decisions. No junior team quietly figuring it out behind the scenes. Just Kate and Brian.
That matters because smart marketing moves faster when the people making the decisions are also the people making the thing. Strategy connects to design. Design connects to messaging. Messaging connects to the website, campaign, sales collateral, or digital experience your audience actually sees.
We bring experience across fintech, SaaS, finance, private equity, PE-backed companies, service-based businesses, food and beverage, logistics, tech, and brands with complicated stories that need to feel clear, credible, and human. We’re good at walking into complex industries, understanding what matters, and turning it into creative work that makes sense to the people you need to reach.
Our clients usually come to us because they need more than pretty design. They need a digital marketing partner who can think strategically, write clearly, design intelligently, and move without the extra agency layers.
You work with the thinkers. The thinkers do the work.
Funny how well that works.
Who does Pushingink work with?
Our sweet spot is fintech, SaaS, finance, private equity, PE-backed companies, and service-based businesses. These are industries where the product, offer, or growth story is often complex, the audience is smart and skeptical, and the gap between what a company does and how clearly it communicates can be wider than it needs to be.
We know how to close that gap.
For private equity firms and PE-backed companies, that often means helping make a business easier to understand, easier to trust, and easier to present to the right audience. Whether the goal is stronger positioning, a sharper website, better sales collateral, clearer investor-facing materials, or a more polished brand presence, we help turn complicated business value into clear, credible communication.
That said, we work across industries. We have built brands, websites, and creative work for flour mills, logistics companies, food and beverage brands, finance teams, service-based businesses, corporate clients, early-stage startups, and companies that fall somewhere in between.
What these clients have in common is not always their industry. It’s that they have a real marketing problem and they want it solved properly.
If you’re doing something worth communicating, we’re interested in helping you communicate it well.
Do you work with international clients and different time zones?
Yes. Pushingink works with clients locally, nationally, and globally, and we’re very comfortable collaborating across time zones.
We’re based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and work on Eastern Time, but our clients are not limited to our zip code. We’ve supported teams across the United States and in global markets, including brands with audiences, offices, and campaigns in multiple regions.
The trick is not complicated: clear communication, smart planning, and fewer unnecessary meetings.
Because we’re a two-person agency, things do not get stuck in a long chain of approvals or internal handoffs. You’re talking directly with the people doing the work, which makes remote collaboration much easier.
When a live meeting makes sense, we find a time that works. When it doesn't, we keep projects moving with thoughtful emails, organized feedback, recorded walkthroughs, shared documents, and clear next steps.
No guessing. No disappearing. No “circling back” into the void.
Can you work alongside our in-house marketing team?
Yes. Some of our best work happens this way.
Pushingink works well with internal marketing teams that already have smart people in the room, but need more creative support, sharper digital thinking, or extra hands to get the work done. We can step in for a specific campaign, support a website redesign, build out brand collateral, create digital ads, design sales materials, or help move a long list of marketing projects from "we should do this" to "done."
We’re not here to take over your team, complicate your process, or make anyone feel like they’re being replaced. We’re here to make your internal marketing team stronger.
Because we’re a small, senior-level creative team, we can plug in without adding a lot of noise. You’re not onboarding a giant agency machine. You’re getting direct strategic and creative support from two people who can understand the strategy, design the work, write the copy, build the page, and keep the project moving.
For SaaS, fintech, finance, private equity, PE-backed companies, logistics, food and beverage, tech, and service-based teams, that kind of support matters. Your in-house team already knows the business. We help turn that knowledge into clearer messaging, better design, smarter campaigns, and digital marketing that supports the goal.
No turf war. No ego. No awkward agency takeover.
Just a creative partner who helps your team look really, really good.
Do you work with private equity firms or PE-backed companies?
Yes. Pushingink works well with private equity firms, PE-backed companies, and businesses preparing for growth, repositioning, acquisition, or a more sophisticated market presence.
These companies often have real value behind the scenes, but that value is not always reflected clearly in their brand, website, sales materials, or digital presence. The business may have evolved faster than the messaging. The website may feel outdated compared to the quality of the company. The sales collateral may be technically accurate, but not especially compelling. Or the story may make perfect sense internally, while still feeling unclear to the people who need to understand it quickly.
This is where we can help. Pushingink supports private equity and PE-backed businesses with brand strategy, website design, messaging, investor-facing materials, sales collateral, presentation design, digital campaigns, and creative support for portfolio companies. We're good at taking complex business stories and making them clearer, sharper, and more credible without watering them down or turning them into generic marketing speak.
For private equity, clarity is not just a design preference. It's part of the value story. A stronger brand, a smarter website, and more polished communication can help a business look as credible, established, and growth-ready as it actually is.
What services does Pushingink offer?
Pushingink offers digital marketing, brand, website, and creative support for businesses that need smart thinking and strong execution without a traditional agency structure.
Our work often includes brand strategy, visual identity, website design and development, UX and UI design, digital campaigns, landing pages, content direction, SEO-friendly website copy, sales collateral, presentation design, digital ads, and ongoing creative support for internal marketing teams.
We’re especially helpful when a company needs to make something complex feel clear. That might mean explaining a fintech platform, simplifying a service-based business, improving a website experience, clarifying a brand message, or helping an internal marketing team get more high-quality work out the door.
We do not believe every business needs the same marketing package. We start with what you are trying to solve, then recommend the right mix of strategy, design, content, and execution.
Do you design and develop websites?
Yes. Website design and development is one of the core things we do.
Pushingink creates websites that are strategically planned, visually polished, easy to understand, and built with the real user in mind. Before we jump into visual design, we start with UX strategy and wireframes so the structure of the site is clear from the beginning. This helps define the page hierarchy, content flow, navigation, calls to action, and the way users move through the experience before color, imagery, and design details enter the conversation.
That step matters because a good website is not just about how it looks. It needs to communicate clearly, guide people naturally, and make the most important information easy to find. Wireframes give us a smart foundation, so visual design is not based on guesswork. It is built around the content, the audience, and the action you want users to take.
From there, we bring the site to life through thoughtful visual design and responsive WordPress development. We build websites with internal marketing teams in mind, so the finished site is not locked behind a developer for every small copy change. When appropriate, we develop sites with front-end editing tools that allow your team to update page copy, swap images, and manage content more easily without breaking the structure of the design.
We help with website strategy, UX and UI design, page structure, content organization, SEO-friendly copy refinement, mobile-friendly layouts, and development. Whether you are redesigning an outdated website, building something new, or trying to make a complex business easier to understand online, we can help create a website that looks polished, reads clearly, and actually supports the business.
What platform do you build websites on?
Pushingink primarily designs and develops websites on WordPress, especially for businesses and internal marketing teams that need a flexible website they can manage after launch. WordPress is a strong fit for content-rich sites, service-based businesses, B2B companies, financial firms, SaaS teams, private equity firms, PE-backed companies, and organizations that need room to grow without rebuilding from scratch every time the business changes.
Our WordPress sites include front-end editing tools that make it easier for internal teams to update copy, swap images, manage content, and keep pages current without calling a developer for every small change. The goal is not to hand over a fragile website that only the original builder can touch. The goal is to create a site that is structured well, designed well, and practical for your team to use.
We can also design and build websites in Webflow when it's the right fit for the project. Webflow can be a strong option for marketing websites, landing pages, campaign experiences, and brands that want a highly visual, design-forward site with content management flexibility.
For more complex development needs, we partner with trusted outside development resources. This is helpful when a project requires deeper custom functionality, advanced integrations, application development, complex data architecture, or specialized technical requirements beyond a standard marketing website.
In those cases, Pushingink can still lead the strategy, UX, wireframes, creative direction, visual design, messaging, and overall digital experience while bringing in the right technical partners to support the build. You still get our thinking, design standards, and communication style, with the added development depth the project requires.
The platform matters, but it's not the whole strategy. We recommend the platform based on what the site needs to do, who needs to manage it, how much flexibility your team needs, and what will support the business best over time.
How do Pushingink engagements typically work?
Most Pushingink engagements fall into one of two categories: project-based work or ongoing creative and marketing support.
For project-based work, clients usually come to us with a specific need. That might be a website redesign, brand refresh, campaign, landing page, product launch, sales material, or a clearer way to explain what they do. We define the scope, map out the process, agree on what success looks like, and move the work forward with clear communication.
For ongoing support, we often work alongside internal marketing teams or leadership teams that need consistent creative direction, design, website, or marketing help throughout the year. Some clients have a marketing team in place and need extra senior-level support. Others do not need a full in-house department, but they do need reliable strategic and creative help when work needs to get done well.
Either way, we start with a conversation. We want to understand what you are trying to solve before we recommend a project, a retainer, or anything in between.
What does working with Pushingink look like day-to-day?
Working with Pushingink is collaborative, direct, and refreshingly normal.
You won't wonder who's doing the work, where the project stands, or whether your feedback made it to the right person. You'll talk to the people actually responsible for the strategy, design, writing, website, or creative direction.
We move quickly, but we don't wing it. We ask smart questions early so we're not guessing later. We set expectations, communicate clearly, and tell you when something needs to be sharper, simpler, or better aligned with the goal.
We're not here to nod politely and make everything blue because someone’s cousin liked it that way.
A lot of our clients have worked with larger agencies before. They know what it feels like to pay for process, sit through meetings, and still not be sure who's really driving the work.
Pushingink is different. We keep the process focused, the communication human, and the work tied to the outcome.
Do you offer ongoing marketing and creative support?
Yes. Pushingink can provide ongoing creative, website, design, and marketing support for businesses that need consistent help but do not need a full in-house department or a traditional agency retainer.
This can be especially helpful for internal marketing teams that have plenty of ideas, plenty of pressure, and not enough hours in the week. We can help with campaign creative, website updates, digital ads, landing pages, sales collateral, presentation design, brand materials, content support, and the random-but-important marketing pieces that always seem to pop up at the worst possible time.
Ongoing support gives your team access to senior creative thinking without adding another full-time hire or oversized agency process.
You get the help you need, from people who already understand your brand, your goals, and how your team works.
How does Pushingink pricing compare to a traditional agency?
Pushingink is typically more affordable than a traditional agency, but the bigger difference is what your budget actually buys.
With a larger agency, part of your investment often goes toward account management layers, internal departments, office infrastructure, junior production teams, and the general machinery required to keep a big agency running. Sometimes that structure makes sense. Most of the time, it means your budget is spread across people and processes that are not directly improving the work.
Pushingink is different. Because we're a small, senior-level creative team, your investment goes much closer to the actual thinking, strategy, design, writing, development, and execution. You're not paying for a long chain of people to interpret the problem before it reaches the person solving it.
That matters because the work is not generic. We're not here to drop your copy into a template, add a few stock icons, and call it a brand experience. We think through the hierarchy, the message, the audience, the design system, the user experience, and the details that make the work feel polished, credible, and specific to your business.
For many clients, that means more value for the budget. More direct access. More senior thinking. More thoughtful creative. More work that looks polished, reads clearly, and supports the business with purpose.
That's the kind of value we care about.
Do you work with startups?
Yes. Pushingink works with startups that need smart, credible creative support at the stage they're in now, whether that means a fast-turn investor deck, a sharper brand presence, a launch website, clearer messaging, or marketing materials that help the business look as strong as the idea behind it.
Startups often need to move quickly, but quick does not have to mean careless. A pitch deck, landing page, sales sheet, or early-stage brand system can still feel thoughtful, polished, and strategically built, even when the timeline is tight. In fact, that early work can make a real difference when a startup is trying to explain the business, build trust, attract investors, support a funding conversation, or create momentum for the next stage of growth.
We 're especially helpful when a startup has a complex product, a smart audience, or a story that needs to be made clearer before it can sell well. That might mean turning a technical idea into a more compelling presentation, designing a PowerPoint that feels investor-ready, creating a website that gives the company more credibility, or developing messaging that helps people understand the value faster.
Not every startup needs a full marketing buildout on day one. Sometimes the smartest first move is creating the right piece at the right time, then building from there as the business grows and the marketing budget expands. Pushingink can help with both the quick, high-impact needs and the longer-term brand, website, and digital marketing support that comes next.
Do you work with other agencies?
No. Pushingink works directly with businesses, internal marketing teams, founders, and leadership teams. We're not a white-label production partner for other agencies, and we don't work through agency middle layers.
That said, we can work alongside in-house development teams, just as we work alongside in-house marketing teams. In those situations, Pushingink can lead or support the strategy, UX, wireframes, messaging, creative direction, and visual design, then collaborate with your internal developers to bring the work to life.
That kind of partnership works well when everyone has a clear role and direct access to the people guiding the business goals. Your development team may know the systems, infrastructure, and technical requirements inside and out. We help shape the user experience, content hierarchy, visual direction, and strategic creative decisions that make the final product clearer, stronger, and easier to use.
Our best work happens when we can stay close to the problem we are solving. Direct communication keeps the strategy clearer, the creative stronger, and the process much cleaner. We're not interested in hiding behind another agency’s account team, but we are comfortable collaborating with the internal teams already responsible for moving the business forward.

Good work starts with a good conversation.
